2017 Conference!

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. 1 John 4:7

It's 2017 and this year it is a very short trip with a very targeted purpose. To present at the Minister's Equipping Conference. Our focus: Souls in Our Care, Connecting Counseling and Pastoring.

As always your prayers and comments are definitely coveted and encouraged!

Beyond My Bubble

Bubbles have always fascinated me....so fragile, yet so complete.  Sparkling spheres that float blissfully about.   I love how they seek to create the least amount of surface area;  and the fact that two colliding immediately create a common wall.  They can collect in groups and ultimately change their cluster sides into hexagons.  Its just amazing what God did with water between some soap layers!

I can live in a bubble.  I am home now -- home is good.  God blesses Chuck and I,  and yet I think I must resist all that waits to float back in -- resist the urge to surround myself in a familiar  life bubble that is too comfortable.  These last three months were jam packed with many things I did not anticipate.  There were many places to step up, and I was humbled to be in His service.  I pray for a heart that will continue to say "yes"  ---  even-- no especially-- in my comfortable bubble.

Three months in Guam and the FSM has brought many challenges, many gifts, many memories and much to contemplate.  There are things still to do on Guam,  perhaps Palau and/or Yap, and even possibly Pohnpei.   God willing.

There are two final videos. However I still cannot load them here so I will post them on FB, for those of you who have that.  Others let me know and I can try to directly e-mail.  One is of  the last days on campus and with the Collins family.  The other is a catalog of the outreach trip to Palau and Yap.

Now it is time to sit, to listen to Him, and be still and know He is God.

Thank you for your prayers and support over these last months!  Blessings,  Jo

  1. Meshach and I are very happy to have her back in our beautifyl "bubble" in Boulder Creek. The notion of leaving my comfort zone (bubble) is a challenging one, but ultimately it's the only way to grow. Generally, I have to be pushed... kicking and screaming...
