Time is counting down -- only three weeks to go!
As I write that, I am thinking about Sherwood Lingenfelter's* discussion on time. Do we, (do I) look at time as important in itself, noting the schedules governed by the clock's temporal divisions of the day, or are we swayed by the events before us, unconcerned about any perceived "disruption" in the order of the day?
Whatever our answer, where do we hold the truth of God's timing, always perfect, always in balance and always just right for us.
My prayer, and that which I ask of you, is that I become more mindful and sensitive to His timing and then to the sense of time for the cultural context in which I am at any given moment. Contexts of friends, family, church or Micronesia, I pray I can communicate a sense of His priorities in my life. God bless!
